DLLC - Digital Learning Leadership Committee

In 2014-2015, the district initiated the implementation of Canvas, a Learning Management System (LMS) to provide a standard communication and content delivery system to promote quality instruction.  The DLLC (Digital Learning Leadership Committee) was formed to support this implementation and develop a plan for utilizing the LMS and digital learning across the district.  The DLLC, comprised of teachers, IT staff, administrators and an educational consultant discussed digital learning trends, ISTE standards and surveyed students and teachers. They learned that there is a mixed use of and proficiency with digital learning tools and that there was a need for a consistent communication channel with students.  Professional development has been, and will continue to be, extensive, systematic and designed to ensure that teachers have the knowledge and skills to ensure students can reach identified digital learning goals aligned with the ISTE Standards for Students.

The LGSUHSD Digital Learning Plan identifies the standards, goals, action items, professional development and means for monitoring progress.
